Thank you for your interest in our driver’s education program through DRIVEN School of Driving LLC.  Listed below are the scheduled class periods that will be offered in Yankton, SD next summer (2024). This class will be limited to 80 students. Once the class is full, registration will close.

Students must be 13 ½ by class start date to register for summer driver’s ed classes.

  • Cost: $450 for students – paid online through registration
  • Summer 2024 Classes (see dates below)
    • Classroom Date June 3-7 and June 10-14, 8:00-11:00 am all days (Must attend all dates).

We will line up the initial drive once class gets started. After the initial drives, all other drives will be arranged with the driving instructor and student at the conclusion of their scheduled drive. Driving times will vary but may extend up to 30 days after the final classroom session. (Students will choose and drive with a partner and will line up driving times that fit their schedules.)

All classes include 30 hours of classroom instruction and 6 hours of actual behind the wheel training. It is also important that you are practicing with your child! Those who have already obtained an instructional permit will have precedence in the classroom. The more confident they are in their abilities to drive, the more success they will have in the program. There is a no-refund policy for this course. If you fail the classroom instruction and/or driving instruction you will need to retake the course.  All students must score above 80% on the classroom and driving portions.

If your child is already 14 years old, I would encourage you to have them obtain their instructional permit at the driver’s license station. There are two main advantages to getting their permit prior to drivers’ education:

1). It allows them to begin practicing with a parent to develop essential driving skills

2).  Their 180 day wait period begins once they’ve obtained their permit, so this expedites the process for them to obtain their restricted minor’s license.

Email confirmation will be sent out verifying acceptance into the classroom, final session dates, and location. We look forward to the possibility of working with you and your child in providing a quality, flexible driver’s education program that works with the busy schedules of your children!
