We are excited to announce that starting this May we will be offering a driver’s education option for students needing to complete driver’s education in Sibley-Ocheyedan. Tate Kellenberger will lead the class and the driving, and this is a great option for anyone looking to complete driver’s education this coming year.

Our objective with this program is to provide a quality driver’s education program with flexibility.  We understand that your child may be involved in many activities.  This is something we not only encourage but will also try our best to work around.  If the students are responsible about communicating with us and making up the time/work they missed in a timely manner, it will work out very well.   If you have questions about conflicts for classroom dates, please feel free to email Tate at   It never hurts to ask.

Due to COVID-19 there are still some uncertainties at this point.   We are hoping to hold normal classes in a face to face setting, but time will tell.   We may need to adapt the format to a hybrid or online setting if restrictions are still in place.  We have all our curriculum all online so if this happens, we will be set up and ready to roll. We will communicate finalized plans and location once we know what and if we have any restrictions.   The 6 hours of behind the wheel driving would still need to be completed but can be done so in a more isolated setting.   If you are uncomfortable with the risks of COVID-19 we respect that and ask that you do not sign up to take driver’s ed this summer.   We are going to continue to offer that service in hopes that the students can work toward the goal of safely completing driver’s education.  If you have any questions, feel free to reach out via email.

Parent’s Meeting: April 11 – 6:30pm

  • April 18, 8am-12pm
  • April 20, 4pm-6pm
  • April 23, 8am-12pm
  • April 30, 8am-12pm
  • May 4, 4pm-6pm
  • May 7,  8am-12pm
  • May 11,  4pm-6pm
  • May 14, 8am-12pm

The parent’s meeting is an informational meeting that is very helpful.  Students must be in attendance as this time also counts toward their class time.  We will line up the initial drive once class gets started.  After the initial drives, all other drives will be arranged with the driving instructor and student at the conclusion of their scheduled drive. Driving times will vary but may extend up to 30 days after the final classroom session. (Students will drive with a partner and will schedule driving times that fit their schedules.)

All classes include 30 hours of classroom instruction and 6 hours of actual behind the wheel training.   Students must have a valid learner’s permit prior to class start date.  It is also important that you are practicing with your child!  The more confident they are in their abilities to drive, the more success they will have in the program.  There is a no-refund policy for this course. If you fail the classroom instruction and/or driving instruction you will need to retake the course.

Please make sure to register your child prior to April 11.  A late registration fee (additional $25) will be added if students aren’t signed up before prior to April 11.  If you have any questions, feel free to call or email.  Email confirmation will be sent out verifying acceptance into the classroom, final session dates, and location.  We look forward to the possibility of working with you and your child in providing a quality, flexible driver’s education program that works with the busy schedules of your children!
